1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using tifeducation.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions

Hotel Express Cyprus reserves the right to update these Terms at any time — continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms

2. About the Platform

tifeducation.org is an events management platform owned and operated by Hotel Express Cyprus
The platform provides a centralised hub for managing conferences, regional meetings, workshops, and webinars for client organisations worldwide
Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) is the first client organisation hosted on the Hotel Express events platform
The platform operates as a white-label solution — each client organisation uses the platform under their own branding and event management requirements
Hotel Express Cyprus is responsible for the technical operation, maintenance, and compliance of the platform
TIF as a client organisation is responsible for the content, events, and communications published under their brand on the platform

3. Platform Operator & Client Relationship

tifeducation.org is owned, developed, and operated by Hotel Express Cyprus
TIF Education is a branded instance of the Hotel Express events platform built specifically for Thalassaemia International Federation
Hotel Express Cyprus provides the same platform infrastructure and features — including Zoom integration, event registration, accommodation booking, and attendee management — to all its client organisations
Users engaging with events on tifeducation.org are interacting with TIF as the event organiser and Hotel Express Cyprus as the platform operator

4. User Accounts

You must register an account to access registration and booking features
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential
You must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration
Hotel Express Cyprus reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account

5. Event Registration

Registering for an event through this platform constitutes a binding registration request
Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation email from TIF Education
Event details including dates, venues, formats, and fees are subject to change — registered participants will be notified of any significant changes
Some events may have limited capacity — registration is on a first-come, first-served basis

6. Payments & Fees

Where applicable, event registration fees must be paid in full to secure your place
Accepted payment methods are displayed during the checkout process
All fees are stated in the currency shown on the event page
Hotel Express Cyprus is not responsible for any bank charges or currency conversion fees incurred during payment

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation policies vary by event and are stated on each individual event page
Requests for cancellation or refund must be submitted in writing to admin@tifeducation.org
Hotel Express Cyprus and TIF reserve the right to cancel or postpone events due to unforeseen circumstances — in such cases, registered participants will be notified and offered alternatives or refunds where applicable

8. Accommodation

Where accommodation booking is available through the platform, it is offered as a convenience service only
Hotel Express Cyprus and TIF are not responsible for the quality, safety, or conduct of hotel or accommodation providers
Accommodation is subject to the hotel's own terms and conditions
Valid ID is required at check-in — any damage to hotel property will be charged to the guest
Hotel Express Cyprus and TIF are not liable for any personal loss, injury, or inconvenience during your stay

9. Zoom Integration

The platform offers Zoom integration as a built-in feature for all Hotel Express Cyprus client organisations
Each event organiser connects their own Zoom account to the platform — Hotel Express Cyprus does not provide or manage Zoom licenses on behalf of any client or organiser
The Zoom integration enables automatic webinar creation, attendee registration push, join link delivery, and real-time sync via Zoom webhooks
Use of Zoom is subject to Zoom's own Terms of Service available at zoom.us/terms
Hotel Express Cyprus is not responsible for any service interruptions, outages, or issues on Zoom's side

10. Abstract & Content Submissions

Healthcare professionals and researchers may submit abstracts or scientific contributions for selected events
By submitting content, you confirm it is your original work and does not infringe any third-party rights
TIF reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit submissions at its discretion
Submitted abstracts may be published in event programmes, proceedings, or TIF communications

11. Sponsorship

Sponsorship applications are subject to TIF's review and approval
Confirmed sponsorship packages are governed by a separate sponsorship agreement
Visibility and benefits vary by package and event as outlined in the sponsorship materials

12. Intellectual Property

All platform technology, infrastructure, and design is the intellectual property of Hotel Express Cyprus
All TIF-specific content including logos, event materials, programmes, and communications is the property of Thalassaemia International Federation
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without prior written permission from Hotel Express Cyprus or TIF respectively
Hotel Express Cyprus and TIF's names, logos, and branding may not be used without express written consent

13. User Conduct

By using this platform, you agree not to:

Provide false or misleading information during registration
Use the platform for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or other users' accounts
Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or malicious content
Interfere with the operation or security of the platform

14. Certificates & Event Materials

Attendance certificates are issued at TIF's discretion following event completion
Certificates are provided for informational and professional development purposes only
Hotel Express Cyprus and TIF do not guarantee that certificates will be accepted by any third-party institution, employer, or licensing body

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis
Hotel Express Cyprus does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components
Hotel Express Cyprus makes no representations about the accuracy or completeness of any content published by client organisations on the platform

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hotel Express Cyprus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this platform
Hotel Express Cyprus's total liability in any matter arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant event registration

17. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of this platform is governed by our Privacy Policy and GDPR Consent page
By registering an account, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in those documents
Hotel Express Cyprus acts as the data controller for platform-level data
TIF acts as the data controller for event-specific data collected under their brand

18. Third-Party Links

19. Governing Law

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus
